Main circuit structure and working principle of induction heating power supply
Induction heating power supply has been widely used in metal smelting, welding, bending, surface hardening and other hot processing and heat treatment industries. For different workpieces and different processes, it requires different power supply working frequency and output power, today we introduce the induction heating power supply main circuit and its original working principle as shown in Figure 1, it is composed of rectifier, filter and inverter.

The rectifier adopts uncontrollable three-phase full-bridge rectifier circuit, and the filter adopts two electrolytic capacitors C1 and C2 in series to reduce the voltage borne by a single capacitor, and R2 and R3 play a role in voltage balancing. R1 is the current limiting resistance. When the system is powered on, the voltage at both ends of the capacitor is zero, so the current will be large when the capacitor is charged at the beginning. When the current limiting resistance RI is added, the current will not be large as shown in Fig.1. When the voltage at both ends of the capacitor reaches a certain value, the AC contactor KI is closed and the current limiting resistance is shorted. The system can work normally.

The inverter adopts a single phase variable inverter bridge connected by a transformer and a series resonant circuit. Two groups of IGBTs that drive single-phase diagonal in turn are used to convert the constant DC voltage into 10H:-10kHz square wave voltage and output it to the load. The working waveform is shown in Figure 2. C3 and C4 are non-inductive absorbing capacitors, which are used to suppress the surge voltage of IGBT.
