The Application of Air-cooled Electromagnetic Induction Heating Equipment in Motor Maintenance
This article mainly discusses the application of electromagnetic induction heating in motor maintenance. Due to long-term continuous operation and improper operation by users, motor failures often occur. Sometimes, it is necessary to dismantle a certain component of the motor to achieve the most effective maintenance, which can save costs and improve motor efficiency. Electromagnetic induction heating equipment uses eddy currents for heating, allowing the workpiece to generate heat by itself rather than through secondary heat transfer, resulting in very high efficiency.
In the motor industry, the common scenarios requiring heating are as follows:
1. Hot installation and disassembly of couplings (wheel pairs)
2. Hot assembly and disassembly of motor rotors
3. Dismantling and hot installation of electronic stator housings
4. Removal of cast aluminum and copper wires from motor stators and rotors The traditional method mostly uses acetylene flame for baking, which causes uneven heating. When the workpiece is large, multiple acetylene torches are required simultaneously. The high-temperature gas is unfriendly to workers, especially in summer, making the environment extremely hot! Moreover, it is inefficient! By using air-cooled electromagnetic heating equipment and accumulating experience through long-term field tests, we have solved 99% of the hot disassembly and installation challenges in the motor industry!
