Advantages of Electromagnetic Induction Heating Drying Equipment Compared with Traditional Drying Lines

Electromagnetic induction heating and drying equipment is applied in many industries. The product is mostly used for drying and heating treatment at the welds of various tanks in food, beverage, chemical, seed, wine, medicine and other industries. The repair coating of welds and its drying and repair coating effectively protect the welds from corrosion, which is conducive to the long-term preservation of food cans. The traditional drying methods are gas drying lines, and the electric heating drying line is the current advanced drying line.

The differences among gas drying lines, electric heating drying lines and electromagnetic drying lines are as follows:

The gas drying line mainly uses liquefied gas for combustion. The length of the drying line is generally 6m, 9m, 13m and 18m, which can meet the production of 120 cans/min. Its main disadvantages are high economic cost, easy aging of the drying line, low thermal efficiency, combustion residues, exhaust gas emissions, poor drying effect, potential safety hazards of open fire, and the need for preheating treatment of liquefied gas tanks in winter, etc.

The electric heating drying line mainly uses resistance wires for heating. The length of the drying line is the same as that of the gas drying line. Its main disadvantages are high economic cost, easy aging of resistance wires, low thermal efficiency, poor drying effect, and large outward thermal radiation, etc.

While meeting the performance of gas drying lines and electric heating drying lines, the electromagnetic drying line has the following advantages:
(1) No open fire, zero emission and zero pollution. Except for the heating at the weld, there is no external radiation from other heat sources.
(2) High efficiency. The thermal efficiency is over 95%, while that of other drying lines is below 46%. The energy saving in one year can recover the equipment cost.
(3) High production efficiency. If the liquefied gas drying line and the electric heating drying line are 180 cans/min, at least 9m long assembly line is needed to meet the requirements, while the electromagnetic drying line only needs 4.5m line and only needs 6.7kW·h of electric energy per hour. If it is an electric heating drying line, at least 12.2kW·h of electric energy is needed, which not only doubles the efficiency but also saves 45% energy.
(4) Good drying effect. Electromagnetic drying adopts the principle of electromagnetic eddy current to make the tank body generate heat by itself.
